About The Mentor

Fernando has eighteen years of experience in forensic investigations, background search, due diligence and fraud, corruption, money laundering compliance, audits and risk assessments. Fernando has previously worked for a Big Four firm in the Forensics and Compliance team and in a specialized global risk advisory firm. He has also worked at the world’s leading glass container manufacturer, Owens-Illinois, where he held various positions in Audit, Treasury and Finance. Fernando has resided in Brazil, the US, Switzerland, Argentina and Mexico and has worked all round the world where he acquired a broad international experience in numerous industries and has led and worked with teams from different parts of the world, including the United States regulators. Fernando is an international speaker, where he has shared his experience in open events and in-companies in Europe, Unite States, Middle East and Latin America. Fernando is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo, Brazil. He also has a degree in economics from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Li- toral in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where he also earned a graduate degree in auditing, internal controls and tax in 2004. In 2008, he earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certificate in the US. Fernando was the founder and professor of the first graduation programs in Ethics and Compliance and Fraud/ Corruption Risks Management in Mexico and Brazil at the Tecnólogico de Monterrey (ITESM) and Fundacao Instituto Administracao (FIA), respectively. Fernando is the Global Convenor of the Communication Task Group for this ISO 37001, Anti-bribery Management Systems. He was a member and represented Mexico in the development of this international standard.

What language will the course be taught in and what level of English do I need to take part in an LEORON training program?
Most of our public courses are delivered in English language. You need to be proficient in English to be able to fully participate in the workshop and network with other delegates. For in-house courses we have the capability to train in Arabic, Dutch, German and Portuguese.
Are LEORON Public courses certified by an official body/organization?
LEORON Institute partners with 20+ international bodies and associations.We also award continuing professional development credits (CPE/PDUs) for:1. NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy) 2. Project Management Institute PDUs 3. CISI credits 4. GARP credits 5. HRCI recertification credits 6. SHRM recertification credits
What is the deadline for registering to a public course?
The deadline to register for a public course is 14 days before the course starts. Kindly note that occasionally we do accept late registrations as well, but this needs to be confirmed with the project manager of the training program or with our registration desk that can be reached at +91 4 95 5711 or register@leoron.com.
What does the course fee cover?
The course fee covers a premium training experience in a 5-star hotel, learning materials, lunches & refreshments, and for some courses, the certification fee and membership with the accrediting bodies.
Does LEORON give discounts?
Yes, we can provide discounts for group bookings. If you would like to discuss a discount on a corporate level, we will be happy to talk to you.
