Daniel is a Certified Internal Auditor with over 20 years’ experience in Internal Audit and Financial management positions in a variety of industries (financial services, manufacturing, information technology, pharmaceutical, transportation and higher education). Strong combination of internal audit, risk management and financial controlling experience while introducing internal audit function and internal control assessment in large organizations. Daniel has significant experience with the planning, documentation, remediation, testing, reporting and management assessment required under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. He is a Lecturer at the University of Quebec in Montreal Management School to students going for the CPA certification in Canada as well as trainer and mentor for professional internal auditors during their CIA certification process in several countries. With and experience of over 20 years, he is now Chief Audit executive at the University in Quebec in Montreal, managing to develop the company’s internal audit methodology and framework in line with International Internal Audit standards (department chart, working paper, audit plan, audit templates, processes, presentations, etc.) along with implementing a Fraud Risk Assessment (FRA) in the organization. He has also effectively established key financial controls testing in order to reduce external auditor workload extensively. Lebel has more than 20 years of experience, in internal audit, risk management and finance for diffrent range of industries : aerospace, information technologies, financial services, transportation and pharmaceuticals. He is passionate about internal audit and risk management emerging trends and has been invited to lecture at several conferences to share his vision about internal audit : working out of the box methodology. He is also interested at best practices in the management of international aid funds.
